Bill Higson

Willam Higson, known as Bill - passed away 28th Septmber 2005. A wonderful husband to Jean, dad to
Darren and Julie, in law to Kate and Mike and grandad to Joshua, Lucas, Matthew and Isabel.

Bill, you were such a wonderful man - always laughing or taking the mickey - you loved nothing
better than winding up those you loved best - your chuckle as you succeeded - I can still picture
it!!!

You became poorly in 2003 after suffering a serious heart attack. You pulled through however you
were never quite the same old Bill I first got to know and love. In 2005, you slowly got worse and
in the end, you lost your fight for life, three months short of your 60th birthday. It was cancer
in the end that took you from us too soon.

In 2001, you became a grandad to Joshua and in 2003, another two boys, Matthew and Lucas came along.
You lived for those boys - you liked nothing better than playing with and cuddling your beloved
grandsons. Four days before you died, I found out you were to be a grandad again - we never had
chance to tell you, but you knew - you told Darren I looked 'blooming' the last time I saw
you !!! A grandaughter, Isabel Rose was born in 2006 and she would be the apple of your eye -
spoilt rotten - I'm sure she is as cheeky as she is because you are up there, egging her on
!!!

The garden doesn't look the same in Spring anymore - I would often find you planting flowers
when I got home from work!! Darren is no gardener - you know that...

You were taken from us too soon but we all know that towards the end you were tired and keeping you
here with us would have been selfish - you knew the time had come for you to find your beloved mum
and go to sleep for one last time.

We miss you so much Bill, not a day goes by when we don't think about you. We know you are
watching over us all, and as long as the children have you guiding them from heaven, they will be
fine.
